Products
Excel Technology Group’s specialist vehicle detection product range includes both non-intrusive radar and video image based detectors and in-pavement detector technology that counts, measures, classifies, categorises and weighs moving vehicles. Traffic related functions calculated within the detector include; incident detection (including HiOCC), vehicle classification by length and electromagnetic profile analysis, vehicle classification by length and axle counting and vehicle weigh in motion (WIM).

ETG is committed to supporting customer project developments by providing
operational demonstration programs and related source software for remote
data retrieval. In order to optimize the performance and expedite implementation
and maintenance of ETG products in the field, ETG has developed a range
of support 'tools' which are available to users. These support tools include
in-pavement loop and piezo test equipment for expedient qualification
of sensor performance, traffic pattern simulation devices for controlled
qualification of detector chassis performance and communication network
operation and emulation programs which provide field technicians with
test procedures that quickly identify the problem source.
